| The word REBOOT
developed as the computer industry began using the phrase “boot
up” to signify the action of starting a computer. During running,
when a computer had a glitch, the term “reboot” was used to
indicate the need to restart the unit. On April 13, 2003, Rev. Stephen
Albert suffered a major stroke which completely paralyzed the left side
of his body. Almost a month later, just a few days before he was to leave
the rehabilitation hospital, he was awakened at three o’clock in
the morning by God and was directed to write down his experiences rehabilitating
from the stroke. The word “REBOOT” was given to him as the
title of the work and for the next two months, guided by Spirit and using
only one finger of his right hand, he completed the book. Upon re-reading
what had been written, he realized the book contained words that could
also help people REBOOT from divorce, bankruptcy, employment problems
as well as from physical ailments.
Printing only 300 copies, he freely distributed the book to stroke patients
and their families and received great thanks from those who read REBOOT’s
words. Others who read the book told him the 6-step process in REBOOT
helped them get through their difficult financial situation. Others called
to say the anxiety of their marital separation lessened by reading REBOOT.
Still others felt their new career direction was the result of the positive
direction which REBOOT brought them. And so it began.
